Lindsay Lohan's Los Angeles DUI Attorney Shawn Chapman Holley is doing everything that she can do defend her client, including posting the $100,000 on behalf of the actress so that her arrest warrant can be lifted. But will Lindsay Lohan have a probation revocation?
The Vancouver Sun reports that Lindsay Lohan failed to show up for her mandatory court hearing on Thursday, which led Judge Marsha Revel to issue an arrest warrant for the actress. Lindsay Lohan was supposed to appear in court for a progress hearing on her probation. She has been in and out of court since her 2007 DUI conviction, where she was sentenced to three years of probation.
CNN states that Lindsay Lohan's new court date has been scheduled for Monday morning in Beverly Hills. A judge will set a new date for her probation revocation hearing. Judge Marsha Revel says that there's "probable cause to believe (Lohan) is in violation of probation" from a 2007 drunken driving conviction.
Until the probation revocation hearing, Lindsay Lohan will be fitted with a bracelet that will detect whether she has been drinking. She will not be allowed to drink alcohol, or consume any drugs during the time period.
This case shows that many people, including high profile celebrities, get in trouble with the law and often need legal advice. There are many Los Angeles DUI defense lawyers in the area that can help people avoid jail time when convicted with a DUI. Probation is usually the most common way of avoiding the time behind bars. Just make sure you follow all the terms of probation and appear in court when you're supposed to.
